  • Promote the event before you go live.

  • Go Live when you have a strong signal. If no signal is available, use wi/fi.
  • Write a description that will catch your community’s eye – be creative and write it before you go Live. Keep it short.
  • Be prepared to fill the first 30 – 45 seconds while you wait for your video to be promoted to your community.
  • Don’t shy away from repeating yourself as your community grows. Remember to introduce yourself, what the purpose of the broadcast is, and what people can expect.
  • Go Live in an area with good lighting.
  • Ask viewers to subscribe to your Live broadcasts during your video – tell them to click “Follow” so they can get notifications when you go Live.
  • Respond to commenters by name.
  • Facebook recommends that a Facebook Live video lasts at least 10 minutes – you can stay Live for up to 90.
